The north-western area of La Sierra de Madrid and the surroundings of the National Park are well worth a visit, especially for climbers and walkers.La Pedriza, located in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, is an excellent destination for cycling and nature enthusiasts. This granite formation is a paradise for mountain lovers, with its climbing walls, rivers, dense forests and wildlife such as goats and vultures.
Our route commences in the town of Colmenar, near Madrid, and continues along a secluded road that connects the charming mountain town of Guadalix de la Sierra with Manzanares el Real. The imposing castle of Manzanares el Real dominates the foothills of the National Park. From Manzanares, we can access the main entrance to the heart of the park via an impressive route that offers breathtaking views of the inner valley. The journey continues through the wooded and rocky landscape of Cantocochino, where participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a special picnic.
